Our facilites are a top notch environment that influences learning, they inspire collaboration, communication, exploration and creativity. Our flexible learning spaces, state-of-the-art STEM Lab and Tinker Space have been equipped with cutting-edge technology and Apple tools.
Teaching and Learning
Teaching has been fundamental to provide 21st century tools to our students that develop their skills and knowledge. These are, but are not limited to digital simulations and models, access to a Teachers Activity Library to explore new ideas and inspire their creativity and a wide variety of apps and tools to track student progress and growth.
By taking advantage of digital tools our Welfare learners have been promoting their understanding of topics of interest, honing their skills and above all, ensuring a personalized learning experience by:
Documenting thoughts while participating in Social Studies Socratic Dialogues.
Individualizing their reading programs (level-appropriate and customized interests) with thousands of high quality books in a digital reading platform.
Creating their own digital story books as part of our writing workshop.

Evidence of success
Measuring success is key to establishing new goals every school year. We collect evidence in different ways: student, teacher and parent surveys, documentation of students’ projects, and progress and growth tracking tools. Data collected from surveys show a constant improvement on:
Learner Engagement
Academic Achievement
Skills Development
Additionally, students have been creating a curriculum of their academic accomplishments and creations with a classroom platform tool. Frequency of use and quantity of media created by students, are important indicators at Welfare Institute in order to measure successful technology integration.
This data has been analyzed by our leadership team and teachers, in order to establish new goals for the next school-year.
